Have you ever been driving and realized you had gone way past your exit? I wish I could say I have no idea what you’re talking about. 🙂 There are too many times to count the number of times I realized I had no idea where I was at when I was driving. I remember one time I was driving to the airport and paused only to I realize I was two exits past where I needed to be. Yes, I did make my flight, barely. You see sometimes in life we get going and we don’t even know where we’re at. This is where the value of the pause comes in.
The word pause means interrupt an action or speech briefly.
It can also mean a temporary stop in action or speech.
When you hear the words,
“Stop”
“Interrupt”
What comes to your mind?
A stop sign?
Your parents voice saying, “STOP!”
You just interrupted me again.
Someone being rude and talking over you
What if you reframed the words “stop” and “interrupt” and could begin to see them as life-saving words.
life. saving. words.
What if the pause became not only a need but a want in your life because you saw the pause as essential and embraced it for the gift that it is!
The pause is foundational for be.ing.
For being in the moment!
Aaaaaaahhhhhhh – presence. I remember the first time I felt truly present in my body. It was so surreal. I was so surprised. I was unaware that I had spent most of my life in fight or flight as my norm.
Sometimes you have done the same thing for so long you need an interruption so you can learn to go in a new direction and create your new desired outcome.
IF you are wanting to experience PEACE, JOY, LOVE, REST, FREEDOM, I am inviting each of you to EMBRACE the PAUSE.
An EASY way to start is setting a reminder on your phone 3x each day for 3 days. During this time you are going to simply be. For 33 seconds. (Can you tell I love numbers and their meanings?)
Share below what times you are going to do your pause times each day.
Who knows? You may love this so much you for it for 33 days then 333 days and beyond. ☺️
Live Fully in Your Divine Design,
Beth
